Tour Itinerary:

Day One, Sunday – 1 June: Arrive Honolulu via your individual flight arrangements. Upon arrival in our hotel, you will be met by MHT staff that will assist with check in. This evening, we gather for a Welcome Reception (no host) and Briefing. This evening, dinner is on your own. Hotel: Ohana East

Day Two, Monday - 2 June: After early breakfast, proceed to Ford Island, located in Naval Station Pearl Harbor to participate in the Midway Education Seminar hosted by the Pacific Aviation Museum. Upon arrival at Ford Island, we begin with a wreath laying ceremony and tour of the battleship USS Missouri – Big MO. For the remainder of the morning and afternoon we will be at the Pacific Aviation Museum (PAM) for the Seminar. Lunch will be in the Blue Heaven Café. We will also have a behind the scenes tour of the Museum and Ford Island. After the day’s events are over, we will remain at the Museum for a “Happy Hour” before our return to the hotel. Day Three, Tuesday – 3 June: Following breakfast, depart for Pearl Harbor for a visit to the USS Arizona Memorial. At the visitors center we will visit the museum and watch an orientation movie before we take a launch to the Memorial. We return to our hotel before noon with the balance of the day at your leisure or relax on Waikiki Beach. Lunch and dinner are at leisure. Meals: B/-/-

Day Four, Wednesday – 4 June: Early morning departure for our charter flight, on Continental Airlines, to Midway Island for the Official 66th Anniversary Commemoration. This commemoration is a joint sponsorship between the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and the Pacific Air Museum (PAM). After the official ceremonies, we will have ample time to explore this historical island where the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps “Turned the Tide” in the Pacific during World War II. After a full day of ceremonies and exploration, we will return to Honolulu late in the evening. Breakfast and dinner en route. Box lunch on the island. A VALID US PASSPORT IS REQUIRED FOR RETURN ENTRY INTO HONOLULU FROM MIDWAY. Meals: B/L/D

Day Five, Thursday – 5 June: Today we will have a leisurely late start. We travel to Marine Corps Base, Kaneohe Bay for a visit to the Pacific War Memorial and lunch on base. Before we return to the hotel we will visit the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific – “Punchbowl” – for a ceremony in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the Battle of Midway. This evening we gather for our Farewell Banquet and guest speaker. Meals: B/L/D

Day Six, Friday – 6 June: Following breakfast, we bid goodbye to friends and proceed to the airport for your individual flights for home. You have the option of extending your stay in the “islands.” Meals: B/-/-

Day Seven and Eight, Saturday and Sunday - 7/8 June: Optional post tour extensions in Honolulu or explore the outer islands, on your own.
