See all of I-Corps plus the Battle of Hue during the Tet Offensive that was one of the bloodiest and fiercest battles of the Vietnam War. Three understrength U.S. Marine Corps battalions and ARVN forces attacked and defeated more than 10,000 entrenched North Vietnamese Regulars and Vietcong (VC) forces. In the photo our late MHT Tour Leader Capt Ed Garr, (USMC) took 120 trips back to Vietnam and is seen here with Gen Peter Pace, USMC(Ret) 16th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

MHT’s tour focuses on the battles in I-Corps where the III Marine Expeditionary Force (redesignated III Marine Amphibious Force) consisting of the 1st & 3rd Marine Division & 1st Marine Aircraft Wing) along with the Army’s XXIV Corps (that at times was composed of the following units: 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile), 23rd Infantry Division (ID) (Americal), 101st Airborne Division (AD) (Airmobile), 1st Brigade, 5th ID (Mechanized), 3rd Brigade, 82nd AD, 173rd Airborne Brigade, 196th Infantry Brigade (Light) & 108th Artillery Group) were in control of the northern five provinces of Vietnam and included the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ.)  It contained some of the most hotly contested areas during the war.

We highlight the Battle of Hue City where during 1968 some of the bloodiest and fiercest fighting of the Vietnam War took place. Three understrength U.S. Marine Corps battalions and ARVN forces attacked and defeated more than 10,000 entrenched NVA Regulars and Vietcong (VC) forces. The South Vietnamese Army and U.S. Army forces were completely unprepared when the NVA and VC failed to observe the promised Tet Truce. Over the next month they were gradually driven out during intense house-to-house fighting led by the Marines. In the end, after the resounding military victory, the city of Hue was virtually destroyed.  Join MHT as we return to the rebuilt city that still retains its French Indo-China ambiance.

There are few times in a man's life when he has the opportunity to walk the places that profoundly shaped the rest of his life --- places that have deep meaning for him --- places with names like: Khe Sanh, Dong Ha, Rockpile, Route 9 & Hwy 1, Hue City, Con Thien, Leatherneck Square, Da Nang, An Hoa, the Que Sons, China Beach, the Hai Van Pass, and many, many more.

The highly experienced, Vietnam-veteran battlefield guides of Military Historical Tours have walked them all. We have an outstanding working relationship with the Vietnam government that allows us access to areas previously restricted to other travelers. Our guides have been back to Vietnam dozens of times and are intimately familiar with the terrain, the battlefields, and the people. They have escorted American veterans and family members, aged 13 to 84, all of whom had richly rewarding and highly memorable trips. Each tour is custom-tailored from our time-proven basic itinerary. This ensures the most complete tour package possible, taking you to the most important places of your particular time or interest in the war. Vietnam is eager to welcome the returning American veterans. The Vietnamese people are gracious and sincerely happy to have us with them again. The scenery is great, the food is delicious and plentiful, and the hotels in which we stay are beautiful and very comfortable. Your spouse and children would love it, too.

And now the best part . . . at only $2995 per person, this tour is an outstanding value, making it not only affordable for you to travel, but also to bring other family members. You can invite your friends to come along, too. Together we will visit the sites at which we fought and which are written in our collective history. The single supplement is only $750. If you need to visit any place in Vietnam that is not on the itinerary, please contact us and we will get you there! We are always prepared to customize this itinerary. Our job is to satisfy you.
